You no longer need to take your electric vehicle to a charging station located miles away from your home, at a shopping center or a gas station – electric car charging stations are now available for home use, allowing you to charge your car while enjoying the comfort of your home. If the idea appeals to you, you must also know that it is not a good idea to try and install your station yourself – unless you are not a certified car charging station installation technician, of course. Here are some things that you should know about the process:
- Finding a qualified technician – charging station brands have their own networks of an approved installation Westminster electrician, so the easiest way to find a specialist is to ask the vendor of your charging station for a recommendation;
- The installation process – your technician will first of all make measurements and will check the fuse box to determine the best location for the charger, then they will issue a written cost estimate and make an appointment for the installation. The technician will return on the agreed date and install the equipment – it usually takes 2-4 hours. In the final phase, your technician will provide some useful advice about how to use the charger correctly.
